My physical and mental wellbeing need time outdoors. Fresh air, exercise, and contact with nature. I have an allotment and enjoy walking. Being over 70 i am selfisolating, avoiding people when outdoors. Though it’s difficult to talk when two metres apart.
Today’s walk was urban, two miles to the hospital and back. Arthritis in my left foot is painful and restricts walking. I was the second patient and was Xrayed very quickly. The walk back was mostly downhill and gave views of Canterbury Cathedral and the Dane John mound, a British burial site from the Roman period.
I intend to carry on with my allotment and with walks, mostly rural. I will keep clear of people i meet. The government will find it hard to stop me.
