Thursday June 2nd, 69th anniversary of queen’s coronation. Two public holidays, days when i try to avoid travel. Postponed footpath work in Bridge. Chose favourite riverside walk from Canterbury. Last walk in Ellenden Wood

Won’t go on about it but work as volunteer Countryside Access Warden is getting harder. Unfinished business in Ellenden Wood, about 5 km south of Whitstable harbour. Three recent visits failed to cover all the bridleways in the wood. Years ago i found a nearby path impassable cos of flood and vegetation. Rough Common notes

Short walk as countryside access warden in Rough Common, about three km WNW of Canterbury. First drove to Red Lion Cottage on A290 for bags of manure.
