Another soggy walk

On Thursday March 12th i planned another two mile walk. This time checking public footpaths just to the east of the University of Kent and north of the Hales Place area of Canterbury. Mainly crossing a soggy grassy paddock of sheep and lambs.

Fitted three waymarkers – yellow arrows – at a junction of paths. Although i’d been there before, i found myself unable to get out of the sheep paddock. Detouring by a different path, met a man on his way to check gas levels at a nearby landfill site. Another path was blocked by a locked gate, which i declined to climb especially as i expected a locked gate at the other end. I later reported these “faults” to the Kent County Council website.

Was relieved to board the bus home, hoping the driver wouldn’t object to my muddy trousers.
